Ya know....I never thought Moser was a hard name. I've been called Sister Mosser, Sister Morris, Sister Mosher. But coming into this ward, a guy was insistent that my last name sounded like a motor part. Thoughts??
It was so sad saying goodbye to people. You come into an area and learn to love everyone and everything. One of the hardest parts of missionary work is saying goodbye.
On our way up, I was the only sister. It was very interesting. Every elder avoided me like the plague but I got to drive up with my favorite senior couple the Jacobsens. They are soooo funny.
For example: Sister Jacobsen has an iPhone and Elder Jacobsen doesn't like them. He calls them Chinese as a joke. Let's just say I had to help them navigate the phone many times.
This is an example of their conversation:
Sis Jacobsen: call my phone Chinese one more time and I'll buy you an iPhone
Elder Jacobsen: Nooooooo! My phone works just fine
Sis Jacobsen: No it does not!!
It was THE funniest 4 hour drive of my life. Plus Sister Jacobsen called me her favorite multiple times. #highfivetome
But my new comp is Sister Durrant and she is the cutest!! She's from the Logan Utah area. Everyone told me she is a beast so I'm hyped for this transfer.
Yesterday, we went to our friend Annette's. She had a box full of packing peanuts. Thanks to Sister Crane, I told Sister Durrant and Annette that we could eat them. They did, but now they are cracking jokes about how they are going to die lol Don't worry mom, we are fine.
Kari's baptism was on Saturday. She is so cute, and I am so happy that I got to meet her. She's going to do wonderful things!!
This week I have studied about pornography and virtue. Its quite eye opening. I read a FIIIIIRRREEE talk by Elder Oaks where he talks about steps we can take to avoid those kind of situations. He talks about how the body when it has something revolting, it will just cause the body to throw up. Well, the brain can't do that. It will always be subject to recall. It was pretty wild. But an amazing talk. It helped me understand the importance of my thoughts. Not just my actions.
