Bonjouer!! This week was actually FAR from a train wreck. Hermana Wilson just said that one
day while we were working out, and I thought it was hilarious
We got a Facebook referral which is a miracle! We have passed off so many people, and finally
someone was passed off to us! His name is Tony and we taught him the restoration, and he
loved it! We dropped off a Book of Mormon later that day. His neighbor is our bishop!! Crazy
miracle guys.
We talked with our friend Emad who is from Jerusalem. He's really cool. We invited him to be
baptized, and he said yes. Except at the end of the lesson we asked if he had any questions.
His question: what is baptized? Yeah....so we have to reteach baptism. Granted his first and
second language is not English so we have a slight language barrier.
We also met with Ferny and invited him to pray about being baptized!! He said that he would
pray about it, so we are excited!!!
I'm absolutely exhausted from this week. We had meeting after meeting after meeting. But its
ok!! It was all good!! One of the meetings was the YSA devotional yesterday with President
and Sister Nelson. Let me tell ya...it was FABULOUS!!!! Their talks were perfect and answered
a lot of my questions that weren't really answered at conference.
After the devotional, we met as a zone and talked about how we can keep ourselves from
burning out. The Spirit was sooooo strong. We talked about some of the challenges we have
had with our current standards. We then announced our new standards for the mission which
is 5 news, 5 at sacrament and 3 on date.
We finally had a good talk with Jay Sr. about teaching his kids. He said that his daughter
Aaliyssa is really interested. We are still struggling to get them to church, but now we have an
understanding of where their family is at.
We met several new people this week. One of which has a lot of potential. We had only talked
to her twice last week, and she was already down to come to church.
Wendy now has a soft date of July 16th. We are all looking forward to this date. Please keep her
in your prayers.
Sometimes I think back to life before the mission. I'm amazed at the positive changes I have
made on the mission. The influence of the Spirit and the Book of Mormon in my life is amazing.
The best part is that it continues to influence me for good. The Book of Mormon is written for us
today. Keep that in mind as you read it.
Sorry for the really long email this week. Basically, this week was really busy but miracles happened!!
Remember God loves you
I love you I love you I love you
This is the way
Love Sister Amanda Moser
