Red means stop ❌

 October 18, 2021

Good morning!

This week was dead and slow but still amazing!!

We had exchanges this week. I got to stay in Haines with Sister Bowden. I was really surprised when I was staying here...but I always stay in the area. I learned a lot though. We had a really good discussion with some girls at Quigley Park and a guy smoking weed. Neither were interested in learning more, but that's ok. We tried!

We went to Duffie Park aka hidden park. It was really nice! We just started walking and there was this group of people. We walked up and they were like "you can join if you want". So we sat and had a discussion about the trials we go through and how they help us help others. It was enlightening.

We were down in the South part of the Haines area earlier this week. We were just chilling at a stop light and some dude pulls up next to us. Stops. Then blows through it. First off, he stopped. But I was like BRUH!! The light was red!!! Anyways...that was an adventure. The amount of people I see blowing through red lights ðŸ˜¬ plus I almost witnessed an accident yesterday. People need to chill.

We got a media referral named Ralph, and he actually responded the first time we reached out!! #saywhat Then he proceeded to invite himself to church. He didn't make it yesterday, but our buddy Don made it!! We were able to give him a Book of Mormon. He is looking forward to reading it ðŸ™Œ We also met Jim who is apparently a less active, so we talked to him for a while after church.

Our friend Patrick is really enjoying the Book of Mormon. Same with Ivan. His baptismal date is going to get pushed back, but he is also enjoying it. It's transforming witnessing a change in our friends as they read. I love it!

Bonjouer!

Hope all y'all have had a great week! My week was pretty awesome.

To start off, we covered the wall in our kitchen with photos of Jesus. It may have taken the majority of this week's meal breaks but #worthit.  What is your favorite picture of Jesus? Send it my way. I would love to see them.

We had several lessons. One day we had 9...pretty much back to back. It was wild but fun. The majority we were teaching the restoration which I love.

We met a new guy this week. His name is Travis. He is an MMA fighter. We met him at the park this week, and we knew it was him right away because of his muscles. That...and the Bible he was carrying. He was very spiritual, and we are meeting with him again .

I am in the same district as the APs AND in the same zone as the STLTs (Sister APs). Bruh. I can't handle the stress!! It is very handy though when you want an answer to a question because they are right there.

Now you are probably wondering "Sister Moser, where is the weeding? Why are there no pictures of you guys weeding?" Well you see...we don't weed here. We barely do any service. For the first time this week, we did service. At a food bank. It wasn't weeding, but I built boxes like craaaazy! We also went to Seed2Need where they harvest produce and give it to the needy. It was really cool because we went at 8 am and got to see the balloons!!

Ivan is our one person on date! He could use some prayers, so please keep him in mind. His baptism date is October 30th!

BALLOON FIESTA!

 October 4, 2021

Good morning!

Welcome back to the exciting life of Sister Moser where we have just experienced transfers!! I am currently serving in the Haines North area. We have had a couple days of getting up at times I don't want to see (3:30 am and 5:15 am).

This week was really awesome! Definitely a complete 180 from White Rock.

First, I would like to note that the drivers here are a lot better than any of the drivers in Santa Fe. I was not expecting that! This could change...I haven't even been here a full week yet.

Second, there are so many parks here!! Holy Hannah. I am amazed. I can work on those street contacting skills.

Third, I did go from the safest place to the....not safest place (sorry mom). We have a place called "the war zone". Apparently too many scary things happening there and we cannot go there. Luckily it is part of the Elders area so we aren't in any danger. We just have to play our gospel music louder than the sirens.

This morning (at 4:30 am) we went to the balloon fiesta!! HOLY COW!!! WHY HAVE I NEVER BEEN BEFORE!!?? We got the whole experience. We got to see the glow which happens at 6am. Then we helped set up and pack a balloon up. It was crazy cool. I was freezing though. We had to wear proselyting clothes... not ideal but thank goodness the prophet said we can wear pants.

General conference was AMAZING!! That feeling of love from each of the apostles is the best feeling ever! I hope all y'all were taking notes. If you haven't watched or listened yet, please please PLEASE take some time. God will see your efforts in hearing the prophets speak, and He WILL bless you. We got to watch with some recent converts named Deb and Karl and the new bishop and his family.  It was so fun getting to meet some members in the ward.

Plus Rexburg is getting another temple!!! God's work is hastening.

Bonjouer!

This week was AWESOME!! Miracles are happening.

We had a lesson with our friend Bruce (who is on date). We were not going to let him say no to coming to church. We spent an hour and finally got him to commit to coming to church. Sunday morning, he ignored our calls. Twice. We said ah nah. So we drove to his house. We stayed for about 15 minutes and he said he would come to church. We said awesome. See you in 10. We stood outside and greeted everyone and here comes Bruce. HALLELUJAH!!! MIRACLES!!! We brought him inside and we talked about the pictures. Then he came into the chapel and stayed for 30 minutes. Hey, I will take it. I was so happy.

We did a lot of service this week. We were constantly counting up our hours so we wouldn't go over. It was a bit stressful. Weeding, organizing, and getting ready for a garage sale. I am pooped.

We went on exchanges this week and I stayed in White Rock. I love exchanges because it feels like you are always learning something. I realized that I needed to step it up. The work is progressing! Speaking of which, we found a lady through the Facebook page. She was super open to talking to us. I really hope that everything goes well and she continues to meet with the missionaries.

We called a gray dot named Heather. We had looked at her records and she had been meeting the missionaries all the time. Then all of a sudden they dropped her. We called her snd had a really good conversation. We even set up a return appointment. She has a lot of potential. We met with her in person, and she had a very marked up Book of Mormon and pictures of Jesus everywhere. I think she is more open than she realizes.

Over all, it was an amazing week! We hit the standards again. Sadly, I am leaving. I am being transferred to Albuquerque. Next week, I will be in a different area. Now I have to quickly say goodbye to everyone here in White Rock.

Let's get this Bread!

September 20, 2021

Good morning!!

This week was really good. We sang yesterday at church, so we invited everyone in area book pretty much. Jasmine came in person!! And then we had 5 of our friend join over zoom. I was really happy about that. Sadly, Bruce didn't join. That means no baptism because he hasn't been coming to church :( Keep praying for him and his wife Florence.

Sister DeGroot and I both got sick this week. Sister DG got a stuffy nose and I got a cough....the week we were singing naturally. We were super nervous, but prayers were answered when it came time for us to sing. If you weren't able to watch it will be on the Santa Fe Facebook page on the 26th!!

As Elder Murala (our new district leader) said last night, we "popped off" this week. We had 14 member present lessons. Granted several of those were in 2 minute videos, but still!! It was really great to see that number on our K.I.Cs this week. Let's get this bread!! Gonna carry that into this week

Along with Jasmine coming to church, she also came to a relief society hike on the canyon rim. This is huge! Jasmine is very shy, so we are happy she is reaching outside herself. Jasmine is just amazing. She is growing so much. I can't wait to see what lays in store for her.

Naturally, we did some weeding this week for our friends Kristina and Kathy. It was a little toasty. Definitely not 100°, but this is hopefully the last week of 80° weather. This week is low 70s, and I am PUMPED!!

We had a lesson with Mary and she said that she has even more appointments, so her baptism isn't going to be for a couple months :( It's ok though. She has amazing fellowship, and she is definitely listening to the spirit!

Last night, we had fakes-giving. I feel that should be a real holiday! Who agrees?

Shout out to my momma who had her birthday yesterday day!! LOVE YA MOMMA!
